Background: As a musician and songwriter working with different bands throughout the past number of years with no real desire to sign any contract binding me to one act or one way forward i found that there didn't seem to be many alternative routes for those of us who would rather use our creative skills to write in a number of genres as apposed to writing with one band constricted by one style to fit into an overall sound so wishing to expand my scope and find more varied challenges i set up intrepidpilot music.
Initially it was to be a platform for myself and own bands and the other bands/musicians/singers/sound engineers i've either written for, collaborated with or helped develop but now i'd like it to expand into something which will offer an alternative outlet for other creative people who want to broaden and progress their skills and influence within the musical world. At this time the site is working primarily as a showcase for my own work (and as a platform for people i've worked with) as a songwriter, featuring music i've written for different acts as well as some songs i've recorded with engineers which currently have no homes.
The only real condition of intrepidpilot is that the music whether pop, rock, indie, electronic, folk or any other style is credible and that the dynamic of everyone involved is based on genuine artistic passion.
